Beyond his diplomatic endeavors, he is a passionate poet, fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Spanish. His collection of Urdu ghazals has been published, with another forthcoming, reflecting his deep engagement with literature and the arts

Shiv Kumar Blilagrami

Shiv Kumar Bilgrami is a distinguished Hindi-Urdu poet and lyricist, born on October 12, 1963, in Mahsonamau village, Bilgram Tehsil, Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. An alumnus of Lucknow University with a Master’s in English Literature, he has served in the Lok Sabha Secretariat, retiring as Joint Director in October 2023.

His acclaimed ghazal collections, Naee Kahkashan and Woh Do Pal, have been voiced by renowned singers across India and Pakistan. Bilgrami’s poetry delves into themes of love, social issues, and spirituality, reflecting a deep connection to cultural and emotional nuances.
